Email Delegates

If you need to assign people to send email on your behalf, you can make them a delegate. DelegatesAnother Fellowship One user you give permission to send email on your behalf. A delegate can send email using your email address in the FROM field. have the right to send email using your email address as the "From" email.

Note: Your delegate must also be an active Fellowship One user with the Email Author security access right.

To assign a delegate

  1. Click People > Group Email > Delegates. The Delegates list appears.
  2. Click the Add plus button in the upper-right corner of the list. The Add a delegate form appears.
  3. Select your delegate from the drop-down list.
  4. Click Add. The delegate appears in the list.

Note: If your delegate is already signed into Fellowship One when you make this change, she may need to sign out and sign back in to see your name in the From drop-down list when composing an email message.

Sending Email on Behalf of the Church

Many times a church will have a special email address configured just for group emailing pertinent church information. Perhaps this is a weekly or monthly newsletter or an informational email to first time visitors. Sometimes this email is events@churchname.org or info@ourchurch.org.

A Fellowship One user with Administrator and Security Officer access can create a Fellowship One user account for this email address. Assign the Email Author security right only.

Sign into Fellowship One as this user account and using the procedure listed above, assign the appropriate delegates (everyone who needs to send emails on behalf of the church).

Tip! If you have created user accounts for your Check-in kiosks, you can use these accounts for the purpose of assigning delegates who can send email on behalf of the church.
